What is
ISO?
ISO 9000 is a family of standards developed by the International
Organization for Standardization, in Geneva, that stipulates
a number of requirements which any production or service
process should comply with in order to ensure that quality
is effectively implemented. This organization defines
quality as excellence in process-execution so as to totally
fulfill clients’ needs, and an ongoing search for
service improvement.
How ISO Improves the Issue of Warrants Certificates
Some of the main concepts included in these standards
are:
• Operating manuals for all processes.
• Control by contrasting interests.
• Preventive and corrective controls.
• ISO’s internal and external audits.
These concepts ensure all holders of Control Union Argentina
Warrants that our certificates have undergone a process
according to standards stipulated in manuals audited and
certified by a renowned international agency. In turn,
this agency carries out periodical audits whereby certification
may be withdrawn if processes do not comply with such
standards.
How to Get an ISO Certification
To be awarded an ISO 9001:2000 certification, Control
Union Argentina has worked for over a year to redesign
all work processes, and create operating manuals. Later,
we developed an implementation process to train all our
personnel on ISO standards and compliance. ISO representatives
carried out three audits before the final audit, whereby
all processes and warehouses, as well as commodities inspection
and control operations, were audited.
Control Union’s Quality Policy
As an ongoing search for service improvement and client
satisfaction, Control Union Argentina believes it is
essential to keep a quality insurance system following
ISO 9001:2000, at all Company levels.
We believe that today, and in the near future, in view
of the overwhelming supply of information in the market,
what will make a difference between one service company
and the rest, will be excellence in performing that
service. This difference will be closely linked to the
quality of the procedures involved in fulfilling an
operation. Thus, we promote the system’s effective
implementation, providing the necessary human and material
resources. The Quality Manual and System Standards should
be dynamic and motivating documents, including continuing
and ongoing improvements of the company’s quality
system. Our policy is based on fulfilling our clients’
expectations. In order to do that, we set up service
specifications, with details of all agreements and obligations,
and we request our clients to evaluate Control Union’s
service quality. |
